Absolute trash customer service. Placed an order, to later be told the item was "out of stock", confirmed with Horizon directly that the item was in stock, only to find now the price has been increased.
The reality is, they forgot to change the sale price, don't want to honor it, and cancelled the order and told me they can't help or explain why it was cancelled.
Garbage tactics, just own the mistake and absolute trash customer service. Reporting the issue to the BBB as well.

Bought 3 airplanes, 2 were bad, service awful
I have bought 3 RC airplanes from HH. 2 have had serious problems out of the box.
The Super Timber had warped wings. Getting HH to cover it was like pulling teeth but they did replace the wings (without graphics). I got them 7 months later. Turbo Timber Evo was a trainwreck from go.
It took off, flipped over and crashed hard. Since it is past 30 days they won't do anything.
Do yourself a favor and avoid Horizon Hobby.

Why does it take so long to get a response
If a customer calls you they need a answer within reasonable amount of time

All I want is a dx8 transmitter battery. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone.
Do I have to be a top tier customer to buy something?
If so how can that happen if I cant place my first order? I am not a fan of this sort of business.
Neglect
We buy several cars for them I own over 100 cars and 50+ are from horizon. Ive ordered two cars that were complete no-show.
I also have been hung up on treated like crap. They told us to send in the car around last Christmas, which they misplaced and then blamed it on me the car had $600 in it and they gave me $100 gift card, I bought a brand new brushless mini and the motor does not work it lags both myself and my local hobby store guy have sent videos. They have not contacted back. I want this to be rated so they need to either contact me and negotiate a deal ..
I left Traxxas and stood by Horizon because of how good they were with customer support and now they have turned into the exact thing that everyone ran away from traxxas for phone number is 518-365-****.
I would like a call immediately. If nobody answers, please leave me a name and a reachable phone number with an extension I can speak to somebody with.
Terrible products and service
I bought a $2000 suite of "smart" RC controller products. The transmitter was defective in both hardware and software.
They asked me to send it to them for service. Big mistake. They haven't even started working on it after 2 weeks and refuse to give a completion date estimate.
The "smart" features don't work. Huge waste of money and now I have no idea if and when I will have a functional system after spending all that money and hours of frustration with a total lack of customer service.

I had a charge to show up and contacted this bunch. I got to chat with Michael D, who had to be the rudest person I have ever dealt with in any customer service.
I am sure I wasn't the friendliest either, especially when he kept saying, as stated above in my chat.
Horizon Hobby, if you want to keep business, I hope you will look at the chat or contact me and let me send you a copy. As far as I am concerned, he cost you a customer due to his smart mouth.

Verified ReviewerPredatory Policies Designed to Harm Customers
*Purchase high dollar rc gadget on "sale".
*Soon after shipment, gadget is 20% less on website.
*Reach out to customer service and refunding difference is against policy.
*They say I need to return/replace at my cost to get new price.
*They say they cannot process return until I receive goods.
*I suggest rejecting package with carrier and they confirm that would avoid return fees.
*Now I get to wait on my porch to tell the Fedex guy to take back a perfectly good item I want because Horizon Hobby has bad policy. They make some cool stuff, but my time is valuable too and other brands don't pull this nonsense.
If anyone at cooperate ever looks at reviews, HALP!

I recently purchased a prop adapter from Horizon Hobby online. It shipped super fast.
Unfortunately it was missing a screw when it arrived. I contacted customer service and they responded right away. They asked for some info and pics, and then sent me another adapter at no charge!
It arrived super fast as well! Very pleased.

Purchased the Apprentice 1.5 STS. When removing the fuselage from the foam packaging I noticed a white rectangular blank piece laying in the bottom of the packaging.
Along with that were two black pieces that I figured would be revealed in the instructions to be installed somewhere. I discovered in the instructions on page 19 (LAS Module) that this was a blank for the LAS location. I then looked at the two small black pieces mentioned earlier to discover that one piece (the piece permanently installed in the fuselage that holds the jaw in place) and locks the LAS in was broken. The jaw was in tact.
Is there a way to remove the in place part that holds the jaw in place and replace with a new part. Or will you be shipping a new fuselage?

Confusion
Unable to contact costumer service???
Problem with 230 heli RF out of the box, 1st flight total disaster, rudder servo reverse. When I reported this Problem only to be told that I should fix the problem myself??
I placed an order for the $99.00 special for the Slow flight plane it was in my cart only to raise to full price.
This has caused me to question Horizon hobby. Bob.
